Lithography

A projection lithography exposure tool that images the reticle pattern onto one exposure field of the wafer at a time, then steps the wafer stage to the next field and repeats. Steppers replaced full-wafer contact and proximity aligners because reduction projection optics allow finer resolution and better overlay.
